Ortodoncia para Niños

Phase I (Interceptive) Tratamiento

Algunos pacientes más jóvenes requieren una intervención de ortodoncia durante la transición temprana a la dentición adulta.. We take a conservative, evidence-based approach to caring for these patients.

Any orthodontic problem can be treated at any age. sin embargo, it is important to understand that the need to extract permanent teeth, the amount of treatment time, the complexity of treatment required and the quality and stability of the final result are very much determined by the age of the patient. That is why the American Association of Orthodontists recommends an orthodontic evaluation by the age of seven.

Children who aren’t ready for orthodontic treatment will benefit from an early evaluation by having their growth and development monitored by our doctors at no charge.

Most orthodontic problems, regardless of age and complexity, are treated with braces bonded to the teeth. Braces are smaller, and wire technology has changed to provide more comfortable patient experiences. This tried-and-true method of orthodontic treatment is most commonly the most efficient and cost-effective treatment for misplaced teeth and bite problems.

Clear braces are a more esthetic alternative to traditional metal braces, but the same principles of treatment and patient experience still apply. Many older adolescent and adult patients opt for this treatment modality.

Many bite problems can now be treated without bracesusing clear plastic removable “aligners”. As your teen progresses through treatment, his or her smile and life will transform through a series of small, expertly designed shifts. And with the Invisalign Teen, you have the option to switch to wires and brackets if your teen decides against Invisalign treatment within the first six months.
